With one exception, the facility and staff were superb and our stay was splendid. We like to read in bed, and the lighting is not the best.

Nice to find a hotel where people still can smoke a cigarette in a comfortable lobby and not only outside! We stayed in the US for about a month and this was the best hotel we had!

Most of the time the service was good. We had a complaint about the TV (it didn't work!). They sent a young man up to fix it and we went out. When we came back, it still was not working properly. I again advised a member of the hotel staff who told me he couldn't do anything as the repairman had gone for the day. He said he would notify him in the morning...They never did fix the television. We had also booked the city car for a 10 am ride to Union Square...we ended up leaving the hotel at 10:30 am as the town car had left earlier than 10 am and though said he would be right back, had stil not returned by 10:30 am. We ended up having to take public transit in order to make our appointment. That was also disappointing. While the hotel had a lot of good points, I was somewhat displeased with other points. The bed seemed more like a double than a queen. The room was quite small, but adequate as we were sightseeing alot. My one complaint was that, while the brochures talked about being a quiet location away from traffic, etc., we found it was very very noisy...lots of traffic and garbage trucks and buses...and the windows were so thin and old that you heard every little noise outside. It made sleeping VERY difficult. If I were to stay at the Queen Anne again, I would definitely ask for a back hotel room as opposed to the one that we had in the front of the hotel.
