To begin with we were disappointed with our room because we believe it was misrepresented on the net and in the brochure, we were offered a 2 bdrm unit for $40 extra per night but chose not to go there as it was more than we required.

Recommendation: By Mrs.LESLEY SMITH Australia To begin with we were disappointed with our room because we believe it was misrepresented on the net and in the brochure, we were offered a 2 bdrm unit for $40 extra per night but chose not to go there as it was more than we required.
the staff ... member who we spoke to in regard to this was not overly helpful or concerned at our disappointment and this made for a bad 1st impression.
the room was not cleaned well and on our second visit there were chocolate wrappers under the table and a used coffee filter in the coffee maker from the previous guest.
the location was very good and we found it to be very quiet at night for sleeping, the bed was just the best.
the food in the restaurant was good for my husband but did not offer much for myself, a vegetarian, but i found that to be the case in lots of other restaurants as well.
a young male staff member was particularly helpful when we asked for directions to the north shore and i'm sorry i did not get his name and raymond helped me to get my wallet back from robert's shuttles where i accidently left it, he was fantastic and i was very grateful for this.
overall the hotel was reasonable to good, we would stay again because of it's location and we now know where every thing is and we found it to be just around the corner from an organic vegetarian eatery on our last day there, helpful for next time.
full payment was taken on our visa for our 1st visit as i had expected and it was a surprise to me that on the 2nd visit only one night had been prepaid which was a concern to me because i had no way of checking that until i returned to australia, i understood that all nights had been prepaid before our arrival, however on checking when we got home, that was correct but i don't understand the inconsistancy.
we had a wonderful holiday in hawaii and will most definitely be back.
