Located in the Heart of Charleston, South Carolina’s famous historic district, the Anchorage Inn Charleston Hotel was originally built as a cotton warehouse circa 1840. The building spent many years in various commercial roles: it’s last being the headquarters of Mr. Robertson Allen’s brokerage firm. The inn’s large threshold stone was placed in memory of Mr. Allen’s son in 1959.
Featuring seventeen guestrooms and two suites, uniquely furnished with period reproduction, the inn has been providing visitors to historic Charleston, South Carolina with a "safe harbor" since opening in May 1991. Meticulously renovated in 2006, the Anchorage Inn Charleston Hotel offers guests the charm of a past era, while providing the modern amenities and comforts of the present.
